I' getting an error message in HDLOG, it's the first time I've used this.

Error:
File contents compare verification failure: CONTENTS/VIDEO/0023F4.MXF
The files have different contents.

I guess it's self explainatory, however it doesn't seem to affect the play back or transcoding into FCP. The company that owns the system has gotten that messg. before but they dont know what it is either, nor has it affected their footage.

Thanks guys.

Try switching to File Size Verification instead and see if you get error messages. The only time I got an error message was when my card downloaded partially becasue the hard drive was full.
HD Log saved my butt by giving me a verification warning.

Monkeyking,

That works. But why? What the difference b/t the two?

I'm flying by the seat of my pants here. I dont have a manual, tis system belongs to someone else....?

b/t the target disk is no where near full.....so I wonder what else could be the problem?

Thanks again!
