HD from PPro to Encore for DVD Halp!

Okay, this should be easy but it is causing so much grief. We have a promotional video to get out. It's about 2 minutes long and will be played back on a dvd player on a widescreen.

We're in Ppro at 1080i. What is the best way to get this, in the best quality possible onto a DVD for SD widescreen playback.

Everything we're doing is creating a very pixelated ugly DVD. We put DVD's together in Encore.
 
I wish I could help, but I do not know how. I would reccomend posting this in the Premiere Pro section and maybe you will get some people who know what to do. Good luck!
