Forgive me for the newb question, but I've been doing all my projects the last 8 months in Standard Def. and I've just did my latest project in HD. Now that I am ready to make a dvd in iDVD, 1. My question is in Final Cut Pro do I click on quicktime file or a quicktime conversion? 2. If I do quicktime conversion, what do I need to change the settings to?

Shot on a1, HD 24f,

This must be more than a newb question. I can say simply making a quicktime file did not work, I'll now try to make a quick time conversion. Not sure what settings I need to use though.

Quicktime conversion converts the entire project into one file (all frames) (MOV, mpeg, etc) instead of quicktime which just makes it a final cut quicktime file which basically just pulls everything from the project.

The best thing to do is to export using quicktime conversion at the highest quality H.264. IDVD automatically encodes it to fit the DVD.

Hope this helps!

If you do the conversion H.264 what do you set for: Framerate, Data Rate, Restrict to, etc. There are a lot of settings, and if you ignore them the film doesn't sync.
