Hey- I have tried numerous times to get this in. I can see the footage when I "Import from P2". After I click import it says "unable............missing or corrupt files." They seem to play Ok in the HVX though. Anyone know whats up?

Love to help, but you need to tell us what version of QT, FCP, and OS you are using and how you got the p2 volume onto the Mac.

And was the tab write protected?

i know about the rename thing, i got the bootcamp dvd. it is the bible.

What tab?

I had the footage 1394 HOSTED to my HDD. No problems, no renaming.

I have FCP 5.0 (it does have the P2 import option) QT 7.4.5 , OSX 10.4.11

I can see the thumbnails after i Click to Import and select path. then its says: one or more p2 clips failed to import, incomplete or corrupt clips

Also, concerning the FCP setup, when it first asks about the project (DVNTSC, 720f60p) are you selecting how you shot the footage or how you want it on the final output? Also, what about including multiple types of framerate and resolutions. (ie. i have a 1080i project that requires the 2fps @ 720f24p (efx stuff)?

I'm sorry to keep asking questions, but what computer are you running this on?

You have 5.0.x which could be the issue depending on what computer you have. It's kinda of important detail hardware and software with your post.

Also, p2 imports were not support until 5.0.4.

So what hardware and what specific version of FCP?
