Having terrible problems with Panasonic US technical support

I WAS having some problems with Panasonic USA technical support service.... but had not contacted the right people there.
Original details removed because I did what others here suggested and contacted Jan who immediately replied with all the answers to my questions - She is a STAR! And I think they only deserve the best of feedback so... sorry about the grumbling earlier - I was just so frustrated about a few technical concerns and wanted to get my order in.

Tech support guys don't care if they sell you anything. In fact, if they to then they have more material out there that might need repair someday, so... :)
No, seriously. You need a good sales rep. Jan Crittenden!
She will defenitly answer respectfully, but she is a bit busy right now... :)

I think it might be a mistake to be contacting Panny support at this point about an as-yet-unshipped product. I doubt they have enough people properly trained and up-to-speed at this point. Clearly Jan and some other sales reps are probably the ones that can most competently answer questions at this point (also Barry and Jared on this forum). I'd suggest PMing them.

I agree, contacting technical support about a pre sale question is the wrong route.

As for "respectful emails", who cares, all that you should be concerned about is getting the correct answers, and when you ask them of the correct department, your more likely to receive them.

A PM to Jan is as good as place as any to start.

Firstly, contacting technical support about technical support is usually the best way as sales reps generally know less than technical support staff about technical details - but hey... I'm from planet earth.
Secondly, respectful I care about - but hey... I'm from planet earth. You're right though, I don't care so much as getting the correct answers but nonetheless I am about to give the company 9000 dollars - some of which pays the geezer who sends me lousy emails.

I will try the other routes, so thank you all for your responses and ideas - more than I can get from those who are paid to do so!

On planet earth...i don't think many people would call or contact technical service about a product that has yet to be released. And Jan's activity with the board should prove that Panasonic representatives are more than capable of answering tech questions.

However you are correct in that it is no excuse for any type of Panasonic representative technical or otherwise to be discourteous with a customer. That is most definately a bad business practice. And one i think Panasonic should address.

On a side note does anyone know if Panasonic is part of the trend of outsourcing Technical support to foreign countries? I should hope not.

Well the good thing about this site is that you at least get get your money's worth.

All companies get jerk employees at one point or another... just forward the disrespectful emails to somebody in a higher up position or in a different department so that Panasonic actually has a chance (and the knowledge) to do something about it. Getting pissed at the whole company isn't going to help any aspect of the situation.

I don't know if they're all out at the show today and left a monkey in charge.
 You amuse me. I thought this was an european problem for the Panasonic Broadcast but...join to the group!

Don't people normally call tech support AFTER they buy a product, and have tech problems?
That's what I was wondering too. How do you fix something you don't have?
