Hate your job? Then here's my newest video "Work Weak" about that ;)

Loved the concept as well as camera movement, really great use of steady gliding shots, slider as well as tripod. I also like the wide view. What I thought could be improved though is the quality, and really you needed more light for your scenes in order to achieve that. I think the pacing, directing and editing were all on point. The weakest part of the project imo is the song, great concept but the artist's delivery is very monotone and not fluent.
This usually happens in the recording process when the rapper does not know the song and you can tell they are reading off of a paper.

I would really like to see your work with better lighting and a better artist, I really liked the directing and how you made the song come to life

7.5 out of 10 ( try to achieve better lighting next time, but overall really solid project)

Thanks for your input! I had a feeling that when the praise for my direction and editing came up that the inevitable negative was gonna be about the song. I'm trying to go for more quality artists coming up as a "compliment" I've been getting my whole career is a variation of "the song sucks but I love the video." I take it as a compliment and a slight so I go back and forth on it. If I had more time with the location, I would've tried to get more in the way of lighting but it's all stuff I've been conscious of. I was also conscious of the rapper and his lack of star charisma but tried to have the actors take away some of the burden :P.

I think you did a good job with it. It does suck when you only have a small amount of time for a location and cant really setup the type of lighting that you would like. I also feel your pain when shooting hip-hop artist that lack any type of on screen charisma. What type of wide lens did you use?
