Has anyone used Cineform's Neoscene?

Is it that big of a difference between Apple Pro Res HQ? Because $100 is still kinda steep for a plug in that transfers footage into usable media for FCP or any other editing program. I just want to know if it's worth purchasing if anyone out there has it.

I dont understand I have Final Cut Studio 3 and compressor already has Pro Res HQ in it does it not already exist in previous versions? BTW thats all I use...
 
It's fine but personally I think ProRes is a better deal- included with FCP and more compatible. For example with Color...

I don't know about better than but I'm sure there are plenty of good enough codecs on Windows. I mean you can't expect miracles coming from what's compressed in the camera to begin with.

Yes compressor does come with FCS 2 and 3 but it's slow. I tried Neoscene and it does seem to be better than ProRes. I don't know if it's just me but there is a free trial offer on their website. If someone else could try it and give me some feedback I would appreciate it. Cineform.com
