I remember you talking about that. Good luck - glad to see you're still around. Once I finish up this thing I'm working on, I can't wait to get started into something new. We did a lot of great things, but we also made a lot of mistakes. Great thing about a new project is a clean slate - but with all the knowledge from the last one.

What kind of budget do you have? Feature length or shorts? I do mostly comedic stuff in case you are wondering.

I only really do features, not to say shorts are bad - they are just not my cup-of-tea . My last budget has been relatively small. What we did was give the screenwriter a cut of the profits. We were on a sliding scale and she gets paid once the investors get their money back plus a small profit. Next time we will be working differenly, but our hope is to have a decent budget.

I'm looking primarily towards comedies right now. Especially family friendly PG-13 type comedies. Basic romantic or playful comedy stuff -> "The Break Up", "Marley and Me", "Burn After Reading".

You can check out my work below in the Red Collar on Vimeo. Those scenes haven't been color corrected yet and we're doing a little more audio work, but the scene is 80% there.

The only thing I ask from all my screenplay writers - which is not an uncommon practice - is that I be allowed to change the screenplay as I see fit. The last screenplay I rewrote over 40% of it and added about 20 new pages. But even the original writer felt the new screenplay was much better than the original.

This movie was the F-Bomb farm where other movies that use the F-Bomb get their's from. :)

Still dug it, though. The Coens can do no wrong in my book.

Oh, and so I don't go OT, I had a screenplay otioned by a boutique/con artist indy prodco back in 07...I have since lied dormant in preparation for my taking over the world. Need my rest, ya know.

I have one that might interest you, that is meant to be PG. It is possible to do with a good budget if you are creative.
