Maybe I'm late to the party, but I've never seen this before and it's news to me:

One part of me thinks this is clever AF, the other - an accident waiting to happen, BUT, with the recent advent of light weight LED panels and flexible fixtures, it presents many alternative options for lighting a space. Also see myself rigging mics to makeshift e27 sockets if the situation calls for it, negating the need for stands in tight spaces with low ceilings. Anyway, thought this would be worthy of it's own thread. Yay/nay?

Dude from Grip Tips did a load test:

Years ago I bought an all plastic Light Socket Adapter to 5/8" Pin because I was concerned about overall weight. Works well, but not often.

Y'know, that's the kind of gear you see somewhere, and at your next shoot you go "****, that would be handy today..."

I have a lot of the x-clamps, but they make me nervous. I've done things like use two or three of them to support one small fixture. I always imagine the ceiling comin' down on the client.
