Hard Drive Speed/Setup

I'm setting up a couple G5's for my students to be working exclusively in HD. Can someone recommend an optimum setup for drive speed, should they be raided and the amount of RAM I would need. They are shooting exclusively with the HVX-200.

If you are working with Final Cut I would recommend 8 gigs of ram per computer. As far as drives are concerned stick with 7200rpm. You'll regret going any slower than that. You can go firewire 400, 800 or eSATA. I would certainly suggest a raid set up of some kind. Personally I have a mirror setup so I have a duplicate of everything I do.
