Hard case for A1

Hey folks.

Well since i'll be traveling with my entire rig (XH-A1, 35mm adapter, rails) i'll need a nice hard case to hold/ protect it all. I've been looking at the pelican 1600, but i dont know if the dividers can be moveable. Also, im either looking to hold it in the overhead bin,


Any suggestions? I leave on the 10th which means i only have basically today or tomorrow for purchasing. Any ideas?

Although some airlines might accept it as carry on, I think its considered oversized by most. Of the top of my head the 1514 was designed as the maximum size and had dividers. The 1510 has no dividers.

Confirmed the 1514 is the maximum carry on size and has dividers.

I looked at the 1514, it's the 1510 with dividers which weren't suitable for me.

So I've got the 1510 the max carry on size, it has the pick 'n pluck foam with the foam insert in the lid. It holds the A1, plus batteries, shotgun, wireless rig, filters, tapes and that's about all.

A limitation for carrying it on board might be the weight. My 1510 with just the A1 weighs 8Kg. 46.4lbs.

I'd say you either need 2 cases, your extra gear to go in the hold, or one bigger one to carry everything ... to go in the hold.

After reading around get black cases, bright colours attract unwanted attention. Good luck.
