Happy Holiday's Video Card

First and most important, how do relatives react to this card?

For my own twisted pleasure I would have liked to hear the Santa guy beg for his life before a kill shot (possibly have the daughter saying to give Santa no mercy and to kill him quickly to shut up his annoying cowardice blathering), OR have Santa beg for death but the guy leaves him to suffer till his daughter convinces him to finish Santa off (or if the father is really nice have the daughter do the kill shot) at which point father and daughter both say that they love each other. Maybe even for a cherry on top have sirens and police lights flash and go into a last stand scenario.
 
Also if you're going to use a letus35 you should provide some shallow depth of field. I don't know if the lighting and mise en scene was intentional with the fireplace not having a fire and thus not providing light and the harsh side light coming from who-knows-where creating a large daunting shadow on the hearth, but it's very unsettling and borderline terrorist handycam POW interrogation video.

On-cam mic? The roomy audio really was a distraction. Works for the off-cam action, but for on-cam, at least use a hyper on a stand mounted overhead. And I'll second the unsettling, harsh side-light.
