C100: Half shutter press for auto focus?

Have I missed this or??? Is there a way to use the half shutter(start/stop) button on the grip of c series cameras to focus and a full press to start stop recording?

No. There is a one shot AF button on the front bottom though for that.

Hmmm, it would be nice to use on the grip much quicker, for me...

Can you customize the 'assignable' button on the grip to "One-shot AF"?

Yes you can actually.

True you can assign it to the magnification button, but it'd be nice to have a multifunction trigger. Gotta get used to this setup...

The one shot AF is really only useful for setting up your shot before you start recording. Although it works while recording, it causes a focus hunt that looks bad if you are recording when you use it.
