Half Man, half TREE!

I can imagine the perfect circus act... instead of being like a pirate with a parrot on his shoulder his mascot could be a woodpecker.

lol. "I'll be here all week folks. Try the veal".

If I woke up one morning and saw that my hands looked like that, I'd be petrified.

"If a tree falls in the woods does it make a sound?"

-yes if you are unlucky enough to be the treeman, if you fell over, you would hear yourself scream in agony.

Sorry, I blame Terry, he made me do it :)

I really can't belive how mean you guys can be. Can't you see the guy needs help...like trimming, watering, fertilizer.

Terry, you have opened a door to evil...

He's likely wary of beavers.

How about a squirrel? :cheesy:

C'mon Terry... think! Which mascot has better crowd appeal... showing off his squirrel or his woodpecker?

And about the insensitive comments some people are making... I thought it immediately... but didn't feel morally justified until reading that he prefers his condition to treatment. :engel017:

Also... I doubt our comments are gonna' make it back there... so I hope this is arguably harmless joking around... and the guy has children and a family, plus I read that he met his soulmate... a woman that's over 30% bush.

I don't know - seeing that poor guy makes me feel very lucky to be healthy, and to laugh at someone with such a deformation seems wrong, even if he doesn't want treatment.

It's not the he doesn't want treatment, it's that the damn Indonesian goverment won't let him leave the country to go to the US. I saw this on the Discovery Channel or the History Channel (don't remember which) and at the very end, his family said that he indeed wants to go ahead with the treatment.

In all honesty... seeing things like that usually makes me very sad about life... even simply life in general. I have mixed feelings about the grand experiment we live in... and I'm not saying that I have to make jokes from somebody else's pain in order to better deal with the idea myself, but I have my days where I come here to escape from my own problems and my own reality... and figuring that other forum members may come here for the same reasons... well, that makes it easy for me to joke around if I feel that my joking isn't going to actually hurt anyone.

If my (seemingly) careless attitude towards this man's affliction hurts your faith in the potential goodness of humanity in general... then I apologize.

(But c'mon... them's some good zingers  and actually... while I may be here all week please DON'T try the veal... ever...)
