Hacked gh1 or a gh2 for filming?

But what are you suggestions and why one over the other?

BTW, even though I am a RED user with Epic to come, the question is really serious...

Of course gh2 is better. Not just pitcher qualty but you got hdmi. How wll you frame with gh1? Magnify glass? Lol. Even 422 color is suck for green keying. Lol. Maybe gh13 is better for filming swarm of locust. Omg!
 
The GH2's high quality AVCHD output is limited to 24p; there is no 25p option - something you might want to consider as a European buyer.

The hacked GH1 will offer 25p (and 24p) AVCHD at very high bitrates. It can be encapsulated in a fully stable 50i wrapper (60i for 24p) or output as native if the user is willing to risk some instability on certain types of shots (high detail, high contrast static).

The hacked GH1 also offers very high bitrate 720p motion jpeg with various frame size options including widescreen "anamorphic" dimensions.

The hacked GH1 user can choose between PAL and NTSC.

The hacked GH1 can overide the 30 minute clip length (EU import tax) limitation.

The hacked GH1 can use third party batteries.

422 doesn't suck for greenscreen. poorly lit backgrounds suck for greenscreen. Far too much pixel-peeping going on here. good point on 25fps too. I've used the gh13 for greenscreen and it keys great, shooting with the peak performance hack, as well as the high reliability hack. Hats off to lpowell..
 
Well according to hackers the 422 don't work like anything especial for greening. All that data don't seem to make big difference for greening. But you know its so hard to found online test footages of gh13 greening. Can't even get example of gh13 verse gh1 in regular shoots. Everyone just say its better because of big bit rate but I never saw much example.
 
Mean to say having colored green backround and remove it and put another. Like after effects. I though gh13 422 would be #1 for it because more color but not so. Its just ok. Nothing especial. According to hacker.
 
Ever actually set up a chromakey on an editing system? Ever used a proper keyer like avid's spectramatte? I have, and gh13 greenscreen footage keys great. Post opinions that are based on real world experience please, not second-hand 'hacker' say so.
 
Most gh2 shooter don't use avid spectramatte. More like the cheap one! Lol
One reason people's read dvxuser is to benefit the experience of other user. Example, I believe many thing berry green will write about cameras. I trust his pinion. Second hand information is common here! Lol! Do you trust adam wilt? I'm not allowed to repeat his finding? Lol! Hearesay is allowed here! This is the internet, not supreme court! Lol! Stop being mean to me. Omg! So mean!
