Hey guys, I currently have a NTG-3, I've been using it a little bit, not really had the chance to become an expert and know all about it. I recently found myself at trouble when shooting at an office because I was getting a lot of reverb. Acceptable to the client, but not great quality. I'm preproducing a feature film right now and I would like to get another mic that will help me when the NTG-3 cannot. In most situations this just means a good mic for interiors, right? Is the Oktava MK-012 a correct choice? Will the sound quality be on par with the NTG-3?
On the other hand, I actually don't already have the H4N - but from what I read I guess this is my choice, I have a T2i. I read on this forum that the H4N and the NTG-3 work ok toguether, this is correct right?
I'm only worried about the phantom powering issue, will my batteries run dry very fast when shooting exteriors? I read some guy said there isn't much of a difference when shooting stamina mode in the H4N, because the recorder is never actually getting 24bit sound. And you get two different levels channels. What do you think of this?
