Where are these? I remember there used to be a few options back in the MPEG-2 days, why aren't manufacturers making cards to offload the h.254 processing?
Many sw use now CUDA which runs on the Graphic Processor Units on the video cards. These GPU are way more powerful then the normal CPU. It isreally a great boost done in Hardware. If a NLE runs some cuda compatible sw then you will get its benefits.
