Do you have a Vimeo account you could put it on, as on YouTube the quality looks poor because of compression.

that OIS is super impressive....makes me feel I should have bought the ac90 instead of the ac130...lol
that sun makes great lighting too...lol
filming political activism is always interesting, especially if you interview people in the crowd.
 
Is that just the built-in mics picking up sound from the speakers, or did you tie into the PA system?

Nice looking footage for a live event type of situation. I'm thinking more and more I want one of these for the fast-moving stuff.

Thank you very much! It tested my stamina to hold still for so long as all those people spoke. At the end I was stiff.
 
I know what you mean. I use a 250 and after a few minutes my arms, legs and back feel it. I just got a new monopod, take a look and have used it with my 5D3 for a school event all day, then on my 250 for auditions for a live performance. I was not tired footage looks great and I am very happy. I got it for 224 on sale, however after using it I would pay more than that if I had to. Many places will not let you use a tripod, but you can use a monopod.
 
Very organic looking. The colors of the wood podium, skin tone and detail in the shadows around 1:43 look great--very organic.
A tripod would have done wonders for your footage. This camera might be a bit of a sleeper. It's on my radar now.

I was thinking about getting the same monopod, but I would have liked more to invest in a monopod with a separate fluid head I could also use on a slider. I can't tell if the "modified 701HDV can be used separtely or not. For some reason the reviews are not working on the website atm.

You can't have everything in one camera but it manages difficult lighting accurately with fast handling automation for action.
 
This camcorder continues to impress. Great image and sound!!

No camcorder is perfect, but this one sure seems to have way more strengths than shortcomings.
