Groundloop Hun, Tascam DR-60 and Canon 600d

So I've owned a TASCAM DR-60 for a while and MAN does it chew through the batteries, I decided to get my homemade VLock power plate sorted out so I could power my 600d and Tascam both from the same source....

I had an epic failure when I realized there was a terrible ground hum accross EVERTHING I rolled that day....

I did a search on a few fourms and realized that this is a known issue when powering from the same battery, for lots of people using Lanparte or really any Vlock system....

I couldn't really find anyone with a clear solve on this.... but I've found a product, a passive inline 3.5mm ground loop emilinator...I tried it out and it has reduced it WELL below acceptable noise floor.

Power Path:

Vlock > DC to DC 5.4v > Canon 600d
Vlock DTap > Dtap to USB 5v > Tascam

Audio Path:

Tascam Line Out > GroundLoop Eliminator > Canon 600d (Set to 1 Click above Zero)

The product in NZ is called Response AA3086:

I've included some pics, it this is helpful for anyone

Good info - I still power mine with a little Anker USB battery (good for like a day stright at least), but been looking at v-locks. Really points to some bad engineering, and Tascam has made recording studio gear for decades - they should know better.
