C300: Grip Unit not working

On the C300 Mkii none of the function on the Grip Unit seems to work. I unattached it and reattach it making sure the cable was plug in tight and still a no go. Any thoughts?

Might have to program the functions/buttons/dials in the menu.

Don't know the camera, but that's how cinema hardware generally works if all else is well (connection).

100% non-functioning, as in none of the buttons or dials? Is it plugged straight into the camera or through a grip relocator? Also, double check that the Power/Playback dial isn't accidentally turned all the way up to LOCK.
 
thanks everyone. It was the operator (me) that didn't have the plug cleaned and plugged in tight. all working now

That plug(and bad gr’s) has bitten more than one cameraman at the worst possible time. I tell people to push the plug in and then twist it about a 1/4 to 1/2 turn while continuing to push and applying firm pressure.
