Grip Joystick to control ISO?

I'm finding on the c300 it isn't quick enough to change the ISO. You have to press the small function button in the back and then use the wheel or the joystick on the body. This is too slow when doing some handheld run/gun. So I was considering customizing my Magn #7 button to be the Function ISO button, but the joystick to the right of it won't control the value the way the body and the monitor joysticks will. Am I missing something?

Thats what we have done, it works well for a quick ISO change.
 
Ah great! And I figured out why the joystick wasn't working, the plug on the inside of the handle wasn't in all the way! Thanks
