C100: Grip Extension Cable

IF, as some say, the zacuto grip relacator may not pass all signals, how else do you control certain functions? Is there any other way to navigate the menu or move the cursor around the LCD/EVF on the C100?

There is NO "IF" The some that say probably didn't connect the connector right in the first place.
The zacuto grip relocator does pass ALL the functions of the C100.

Alternatively you can remap buttons on the c100 mark I to function as up down...etc..
As far as i know the markII has a dedicated joystick on the flipout screen.

So the consensus is the Z relo kit does completely pass all signals on the MKII and the only precaution is to push the plugs in and then push them in some more. I think the plug on the camera end is flimsy. Since we're up at $300 anyway, I would have gone another step and included a screw-on hood to keep that connector where it needs to be. The clamp is OK (I use it mounted vertically) but the fact you can't re-index the clamp lever without tools is a cheap move.

yes. It is simply an extension cable.
I could not make proper use of my Ronin-M otherwise (would never pay the Zacuto price).

Gee, I should have massed-produce this in my garage in LA and charged $65. I guess I have bigger fish to fry... At least I wouldn't have canvassed an entire forum claiming I have the silver-bullet.

RE: post 26-
Why? Although I will side with you that Zacuto has no shame for charging you pros top-dollar for minor goods, it least it has got the job done WITH A MOUNTING SOLUTION! A cable is a cable and nothing more. Let's put things into perspective.

From what I understand these are Canon proprietary connectors. Not so sure you would have been able to get hold of them until now. It appears that Canon was pretty selective about which accessory makers they collaborated with; and what we got were a bunch of 'Grip Relocators' that all look alike, which is a good solution for some things, but not for everything. And not affordable to repair once the cable breaks...

A Canon Side Grip extension cable is a very welcome addition!!!!
These plugs now appear to be available to other cable makers too. :-)

But most of all this is possibly a sign that Canon might be widening their collaboration. Which would be awesome!

I have no connection to the particular cable maker on Etsy or Baluardo.
