Green lines/ digital 'hits' when digitizing. Help needed!

I recently sent my XH A1 to Video One Repair to have the front glass replaced due to a small scratch. They told me that the NGD alert was coming on when it was not needed and asked if I wanted that repaired as well and I said 'yes'.

I have the camera back and I just tried digitizing a tape but now I am experiencing a mess of green lines or digital hits (hard to describe) all over the screen. These do not appear on the view finder nor when using the a/v cable out to my TV. They only appear when trying to view the footage via firewire. I bought a new firewire cable but the same thing is happening. I also tried different tapes with the same results.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so what was the problem? Could something have been damaged during whatever system/electronics repair they did to stop the NGD recommendation from coming on?

Any help/insight appreciated!
 
What's the NGD alert don't you mean ND? If you never had that alert come on when you were using your A1 then it's Video Ones problem you shouldn't have to pay for that. Other folk seem happy with them.

Don't try to fix the 'green lines' it should be covered by their repair warranty. Call them and ask what to do .. if anyone says 'try a camera reset' get his/her name and follow your manuals instructions.

When you send it back again I'd also ask them for the freight costs involved seems they'll do that. Good luck.
