Green color cast on variable WB

I remember reading about this somewhere on here, and I'm not sure it touched on this topic in particular with the variable balance, so here is my experience. When dialing in WB using the variable setting, there is a bit of a green cast when going on the low side of kelvin, so when I try bringing it up, it pitches to the warm side very quickly without finding the "sweet" spot. When I manual white balance, I can reach a very nice color temp. I've been so used to dialing in the white balance in the variable setting on my previous cams, I naturally did the same on the AF100, only to find out today it seems "off". Any others have seen similar things on this cam?

One more time: I'm in my kitchen which as cfl lights. I put my lets pl mount on my gf1 with a 50 mm schneider lens and used the sliding k scale to get the color temp dialed in but the image was still too green. The GF has a warm - cool magenta- green function capability which the AF 100 desperately needs. It's possible to dial in WB really well with this 2 axis manual white balance capability. How about adding this to the AF?..

Dialing in temp on the AF-100 will sometimes not provide accurate results when compared to using AWB but use a 18% gray card. You'll be spot on every time.

The problem I had is the viewfinder and the lcd on the af 100 appears warmer than it actually is and if you dial in a variable color temperature based on the way the camera looks you will end up with greenish images. For some reason my manhattan monitor will look bluer than the image really is, which it does not do when I use it with hmc 150 camera.
