Hey guys, just wanted to share this find with you...I found it while wandering a bricks and mortar shop in San Francisco.

I tried it out and was shocked when they told me it was only $80. I know the way more expensive versions out there are more modular and a more solid build, but I highly doubt they provide $500 or more worth of extra stabilization. This thing comes with a couple different plates and is somewhat modular. It seems tailor-made for the GH1..that articulating LCD comes in handy. I've found a mode that juts out from my body with the 20mm Pancake, monitoring through the LCD, and also a way to swing it so the viewfinder is at eye level for extra contact points with a more telephoto Canon FD 50mm.
While not as smooth as my Merlin for tracking stuff, it's nice to be able to take something out of a small bag and get the camera pretty darn steady for static or small motions without a tripod.
I believe with a flash bracket I can mount my Zoom and a mic on here and be ready for freddy.
It's not super high quality build, but everything tightens up nicely (my biggest usual complaint with cheaper camera accessories) and the plastic seems rigid and strong and I don't see it breaking on me.
