looks good

I thought overall the pictures look good, my favorites would have to be 2, 5, and 6. Looks like something off an Indiana Jones movie.

its weird. I have been reviewing my footage over and over, looking at the red areas and noticing in my editor that i dont seem to have the problem that alot of people have with their REDS. As in those blocks that surround the edges making it look really low res and noisy.

hrm.

Yeah, as soon as I tried out Vegas 6 vs my stupid Liquid Edition system, my problems with reds went away. :)

These grabs look great as always, PaPa. I'd love to be able to shoot some stuff there!

lol its a tomb that some artist went into and used the bones of 40 000 men to create,,, art?

Remains of monks and people who died during epidemies and wars showing our mortality are nowadays good backgrounds for music videos and movie flicks...

did you learn that soemhwere a while back or is this info you just read? Cause i was taken through a tour and thats where they brought us and i dont remember a thing the tour guide said.

nope

BTW guys. Problem solver for all those who want to get those screen overlays to frame a 2.35:1. This is all you have to do

If you have premier pro 1.5, Plug you camera to your computer and open a 4x3 video file. Now give it a clip of 22 on top and 22 on bottom. Make sure that in your project settings you have playback on dv equipment set. Now look at your lcd screen on your dvx, run a ruler along the black line and draw in, with a pen, or paint, or white out, on the plastic of the dvx, a line on top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right.

The last step will be to place rubber elastic bands across the top, and bottom. This makes for viewing the entire 4x3 frame, but keying off your 2.35:1 area Simple and very effective.

Nice grabs, although personally I wan't that impressed with Prauge. Not my kind of city I guess. It is amazing to see a city/country in the middle of such a drastic change in government and social/economic life.

what I do for 2.35:1 currently, is in Liquid Edition 6 (a piece of ****), I crop top and bottom 22.8 from a 4:3 image, and then I measured the length and height to make sure it is approx. 2.35:1. And then I place clear scotch tape (with it double sided over the section that goes over the LCD so the tape doesn't stick to it) over the screen in approx. proportion to the image on the comp.

that sounds cool too. I guess that would be good as well because instead of having a thick rubber band go across the screen, you get the section of the frame that will be cropped that nice cloudy fuzzy look.

here is an extra grab.

Just for laughs :)

...interesting... there is a ossuary in Rome, Italy that is made out of some 3,000 monk's bones and it has the same saying in the last room, written in a few different languags. I visited prague this winter, wish i check that out. I thought prague was really intereting. I went to the communist museum, which was cool casue it give me a lot of info on the history of the country. The city is really beautiful. i also visited Vienna and Budapest while in eastern europe. I must say they are all worth checking out. Your pictures make me wish i was back living in europe.
