Agreed, I will be taking my time with the sound, my previous work have been plagued by sub par audio (especially the foley stuff, not going to make the same mistakes this time).Axel Segebrecht said:Looks like I'm not the only busy-bodyGood luck and don't forget to take a breather.
Cool, just remember that sound is half of the experience. Most stuff I've seen looks great but is let down by the "soundtrack" (and I don't mean the theme music).
Thanks for you offer, once this short film starts getting accepted into festivals, I will definately want to set up a website and hopefully by then, we can collaborate.Axel Segebrecht said:I wish I wasn't such an idiot when it comes to editing, otherwise I'd be happy to help out. I know how to use a camera/camcorder or do websites though if that's any help.
Bad news here for everyone, I couldn't cut the trailer on time today!!! so you guys will have to sit tight and wait until next week. Sorry for that.Axel Segebrecht said:Understandable. Just be real careful not to ruin your chances by posting too much online. Having said that, give us the trailer already! :-D
Best way to learn is to just go out and shoot something. After my previous short film, I did not make another for more than a year. And in that year, I participated in any filmmaking projects, shorts, features, music videos...basically anything I can get my hands on to learn. Only this year did I gained enough confidence to do a short version of this long planned project.Axel Segebrecht said:I love film noir but am pretty much a n00b at editing and lighting. So reading up on how you did it ups my chances of one day producing something decent.
Now, I am pumped up enough to embark on a feature length version.
