Here are some grabs from a quick short (had to complete it in 2 days, to reach a deadline). Hope you like them:)

A little bit too grainy and dark for my taste.. And you have to work on the lighting. In most of the grabs there's nothing that seperates the talent from teh background.. The fourth grab definately needs lighting. The blown-out window doesnt fit in at all!

The grain and low light is because I had no light equipment avaiable, because there was no power supply there. Anyway, like the CC?

Well, I like the color correction. Very interesting look you have there. and I like the fact that it's dark. But like said before, more light on the characters would help separate them from everything else. BUT, you mentioned there was no extra light available. So with the conditions you were working under, I'd say these grabs look pretty damn good. and don't worry about grain, because if you don't have lots of light, you can only expect to have a good bit of it with the dvx.

I'd love to see some video of this!

children should not play with guns! i would try out the bleach bypass magic bullet and see how it looks.

If I only had Macig Bullet...

@Lawsuit Boy, do you use Vegas 6.0? I could PM you a little tutorial on how to acheive the look:thumbsup:

BTW: Would be fun if anyone with a bleach bypass filter would try it on some of these? I know that one of them is terribly underexposed, it was just a bad miss.

The grabs look a ton cleaner without the cc - why the need to brighten them? They look fine with that tone at a darker level... or maybe it's just my PC - I know things look darker on macs?

Here's a darker version of your CC that I approximated...

Well I don't know if my monitor is totally worn out or something, but I have been having problems with brightness levels for a while now. The one you posted looks waaay too dark here:/

 Underexposed, yes

Yes indeed, it is shot on DVX100E.

edit: Umh uh huh... I really made it look like sony crap on that shot :/

monte your cc looks way too dark. the images are too grainy in my opinion...im not too into the CC. but goodluck anyway- its a matter of my opinion, no offense intended.

Just a though. Characters, well at least the main character would benefit from some lighting. Not a great deal, but subtle.... just enough to make him stand out from the background. I see that you didn't have that much lighting to work with and sometimes one does with one has. If you don't have access to good lighting equipment, you should at least play around with some fluorescent from home depot. Not great by any means, but better lighting is better lighting.

I just checked on a MAC - and it is quite a bit darker... hmm Zach are you on a mac or a pc?
