Red camera should have a high precision GPS, and some other sensor to be able to add position, pan, tilt, roll and even acceleration , speed, , to the video information, it will be a big plus for motion tracking, and some other post prod effects, and it is not a big deal to add those technologies, and come integrated with it, but it make a huge difference for the customer, as it will be the Solution, compact, light and full of feature, trouble less too.

those information can be included as meta information with every frame, or any other way ( separate file, database, ...).

i have some other bright ideas, but i will wait your echo on this one.

Hi,
It seems to be a fairly interesting idea; but is it practical? I'm not quite sure how I would use the information, and the expense would be significant. Am I missing something?

those information are usefull when you require to make some post prod effect, like adding rain, motion traking, camera tracking, and tons of post production effects on studios rely on those information to better seemlessly integrate 3D element into motion picture, the expense is far less than you think, a gps cost 100$ maximum, and other sensors, are common technology and easy to implent too.
