Hi everyone.

First of all I have to say that this board helped me in choosing between the xl2 and the dvx100b. I chose the dvx100b and it is my new, beautiful girlfriend

Yesterday I just went out with a friend, no plans no nothing just filming a little bit. Afterwards I wanted to make it look creepy. Most people, when they got a new cam, they film flowers or something. That's not very exciting to me. So take a look at my first 46 second clip ! :cheesy:

I really like the music. What program did you use?

Well, as I said I used "Sony Vegas 5.0" for the editing and effects. The music has been taken out of the Saw II Soundtrack which really fits I think.

That is quite nice. I'm fairly new to video editing but I think I pick it up pretty quick -- may I ask what techniques you used to create the "light-buzzing" effect?

Sure. The "light-buzzing" effect is just a simple play between brightness and contrast. You have to have a certain "feeling" for it. For example I set a frame with a high contrast rate and a normal to middle rate of brightness to create the highlights on the bright areas and another frame just a few frames after it with the normal (+ color correction) picture. You have to put the frames well, one frame to far or to close to the first it might not look so good.

It's just practice. In the past I made a lot of those so called "fragmovies" for Computergames like Counter-Strike and so on, where you have to impress with effects and cuts, so I already have the experience with setting effects and making good cuts with Sony Vegas. :)

really cool stuff here. I liked the editing a lot. Also, the first shots of the cars rolling by were great. I love watching lights like that out of focus.
