Got a DVX with nothing to shoot!!! SF Bay Area!!

I just purchased a DVX from a guy in Walnut Creek and I love the thing. It was everthing that I could have hoped. But now that I have it, I am doing nothing but shooting my family at gatherings and really pissing them off.

I was wondering if there were anyone on here that is from the SF Bay that wants to use it for their shoot, possibly as a second camera, or as the primary on a second location. Really want to use this for its intended purpose.

I bought it for my sisters wedding in October, so the more experience with the camera in different situations I can get by then would be perfect.

This is all free of charge, I just want to be involved by providing the camera and some help on the set.

Make some short films with your friends. Make montages. Make an artsy short. Go out to a forest, shoot and then edit it to sound after. Tons of stuff...that's what i did for a while. I made at least 5 videos until I hit a Short film, then a Music video, and then a wedding. Now hallows fest...You should enter that by the way

Film, Shoot, and Film as much as you can bro, get to know your camera.
 
Check your messages. I'm in Point Richmond and definitely looking to do some shooting and try out some of the dual camera features.
 
Hehe, this is like the feelings I have for RedOne. I have been dreaming wet dreams of that camera for a long time and right now I'm climaxing it all because of the release. It will take a long time before I can get one myself, but I would imagine that when I finally get it, I will look at it, test it, drool a little and then realize that I have nothing to shoot.

Best thing is to just give a damn about the camera and think about movies and stuff. Right now, I'm not so into my DVX100 at technical point of view, but rather that it's just there to imprint my vision so it finally becomes a movie.
 
Hi! Im in Pleasanton and I just got the DVX about 2 weekes ago too! I was thinking about getting some folks together and filming some fun comedy sketches. Interested?

Hell yeah! I'm in NY for a week but I'll be back in the East bay after the 17th. I have some ideas for some silly comedy stuff too.
 
How about some street cars going over the hills? Stock footage type stuff for those of us that are on the other side of the country.
