Gonna take use to this new look for DVX

Well, websites get updated, and the look changes. You can't have things look like 1995 forever. But. Most of the time, when you see the new look, you discuss it broadly, but you don't immediately think "OK, time for an update"... you imagine you're staying with this BRAND NEW look for awhile. But in this case? Nope. I think this look has serious usability problems - and I mean serious. I'm already looking forward to a new new version, cause this one is kinda fail. Why?

Because - The. Single. Most. Important. Thing. in a website - or any visual medium - is visibility. If I can't see it, it 'ain't worth jack. And this new look seriously degrades visibility. I mean, I'm not a mole man living underground with every shade of everything being from dark grey to very dark grey. Case in point - it's super hard to see which threads have new activity; yes, if you peer very closely, you can see that the new activity threads are bolded, but because of the greyscale it's hardly noticeable.

I'm not usually a guy who complains about new stuff, but this one is crap. It's broken. It fails at the most elemental level for a visual medium - actually being able to see.

My 2 cents. Oh, I'm on Safari 5.1.

I keep hitting the advertisement because my "notification" font is so small I can't seem to click on it well.

Not Bad, a lot of dead space IMO, I feel like I'm using the mouse wheel twice as much as before.
and yeah, needs more gray.

Thanks, Hawk. Now back to the older version and all is well with the world - Raspberries! (anyone know which movie that line came from?)

Works for me.

Is everyone referring to 4.1.5? If so, I think I've been using this for quite some time...nothing changed for me, as far as I can tell. I'm using Firefox 6.0 on OSX 10.7 and it looks/works great.

Thanks for the reminder. I like the old too.

I use "classic" on my work XP PC and at home there are still things I miss from OS9.

This is our version of neurogenesis. We're trying to kick all you filmmakers out of your depressed doldrums and tickle your hippocampae. Did it work? Apparently not...
