So I got a glidecam hd1000 over the holidays and have been trying to put some hours into learning it/figuring it out.

A friend of mine managed to get a Sigma 10-20 f3.5 so I definitely wanted to check that out on the glidecam.

We had an hour or so before going to see The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.

Still not perfect, but I'm definitely learning.

I also portrayed one of the most angry guy's to ever use a sink.

Shot on t2i with magic lantern, edited quick and dirty in FCPX.

Your balance is off causing the porpoising, needs a little adjustment.
Also, you don't need to move so fast, concentrate on smooth, speed will come later.
Good beginning though. It takes time.

Are you using a second (light) hand to help keep it straight? It looks like its rocking backwards and forwards quite badly as you pause and move on. Im no professional but my first test is here http://vimeo.com/34574957 Pookie was very helpful to me when I was looking into stabilizers so listen to him and we'll all learn!
