Glidecam 4000 or StediShot

I own the glidecam, and think it works great for the money. I would recommend a support of some kind, otherwise you better hit the gym and start working those arm and wrist muscles. The HVX will get very heavy on the glidecam if you have no support.

The smoothshooter is a good companion to the 4000, but there are also other less expensive alternatives like...

The Body pod support http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=112217&is=REG&addedTroughType=search

The arm brace

The smooth shooter (mentioned above)

I can't find a good picture, but it *looks* like the Stedishot uses a strap behind the neck to support the camera weight. Sounds prety dangerous to me. - Please someone correct me if I'm wrong, I can't tell for sure.

That aside I think it's rather cute & entertaining that some of StediShot's marketing pictures are photoshopped images stolen from the Glidecam website ... who stole the rig idea from Steadicam. :nads: Aah Irony.
