Are those s8mm or regular 8mm (or double 8mm)? and do they work?

They arent super8, and its more likely than not that their regular, since D8mm is actually not very common.

I have a little double8 (won't advance) I was thinking about modifying the gate for some ultra wide aspect and adding a new lens mount. I wonder if you could run 16mm inside of a Double 8mm... and actually make it work!

Persionally, i wouldnt try it. You'd be better off buying a Super16 K3 with the pentax mount and croping to 1:2.35 than going through all that trouble.
