So I ordered a "Gini" rig on MagicSpider.eu, around Dec 28. The payment was accepted the next day, on Paypal. I live in Korea, the billing address is Korean... Still no sign of the rig. I'm not sure what's going on. I'm going to have to file a report with Paypal soon if nothing shows. Has anyone actually gotten in contact with him? I'm going to try to email him with someone to translate into proper Korean, but I'm not sure what I should do for now. :cry:
 
That seller (or at least I assume it's the same guy) seems to establish a new eBay account every once in a while for some strange reason. If you looked up "gini.1989" on eBay you'd see a fair amount of buyers complaining about lack of response and incomplete rigs. I'd be reluctant to deal with that guy even though his stuff looks pretty nice.
 
I have one of his rigs, when i ordered i was in Korea as well but had it shipped to my house in US, It took about 2 weeks, At first i tried to contact to see if i could get it delivered there, but like you mention, no reply. I did receive it fairly quickly and the rig is pretty damn nice, I love it. I hope you get yours soon and love it too.

I ordered late december I received mine jan 13. it said it would take that long in the ebay listing. KILLER product for the dough. Im actually astounded by the quality. If you need a handheld rig these are great.
 
I've ordered rigs from him three times, they all arrived with no issues to the USA but I've heard of similar stories. If there is no response after attempting to make contact several times then you'd have little choice but to go ahead and file a dispute.

I did that, but still no reply...

Has anyone talked to him on the phone? It would be useful if I could get his phone number. I have some Korean friends who would be able to communicate with him.
 
Well, I sent an email, and he has still not replied. He should've been able to ship within Korea long ago. As of now, I cannot recommend buying from him. If anyone else knows how I can get in contact with him, please tell me.

I emailed him again, and still no response. The 45 day mark to file a report is nearing, so I guess, I will never get my rig. If you were thinking from buying from him, I can't recommend it.
 
I won an auction on the 8th, and I was getting worried about how long it was taking, but today I finally got an email from ebay saying it was just shipped. I know he doesn't reply to emails nor take care of customers beyond shipping the product, but the price was low enough to take a chance. I've bought from him before and I was happy enough with the quality to buy again.
 
Just wanted to say as soon as it shipped. not more than a few days later til it's arrival. I have noticed since that account was closed with couple negative feedback and now a new account name again.

Not sure what the deal is with that, but I got my product for a great price.
 
I finally got a refund, but he never replied to my emails or messages. Apparently he can't sell in Korea. His lack of communication is enough to make someone crazy. Does anyone have suggestions for alternative rigs?

I orderd directly from MagicSpider. After a few days I emailed them asking if it shipped. No response. A few days later emailed again, no response. So I started a dispute claim through paypal. Within an hour they canceled my order and refunded my money. I didnt want to cancel. I just wanted the item I paid for. From what I hear this is a good product, too bad they dont know antything about customer support.
 
Hi guys, I am from Singapore and I just received my rig from Gini. I guess it's a matter of hit and misses, coming from the forums. He speaks little English so do try to phrase your messages to him in simpler terms, it would go a long way to help.

Am not sure if you're able to see this as it's under ebay.com.sg but he is selling under the username gini-2011 as of couple of days ago. The best way to get to him would be sending a message via eBay itself as that's the place where he seems to be doing the bulk of his transactions. http://myworld.ebay.com.sg/gini-2011/?_trksid=p4340.l2559 was the eBay store i managed to get hold of under Singapore's version of eBay.

Try not to post a Buy Now Price on eBay, instead make an offer and it is highly likely you'll get it. Or even if you were outbid on an auction, I have read that he is known to second chance your offer so you'll get it at the price.

His websites are a little cranky and he has too many of those lying around and most are not working.

I bought a Gini rig on december of 2009!! Still no rig or replies from him! I tried a dispute on ebay with no luck!
I just can't believe he still sells on Ebay!! wtf is going on?

Did you file a dispute? and if you did, Did you file it within the alloted time frame? Not sure why ebay didn't refund your money, if it was through paypal or credit card, You should have had no problem getting a refund. Do you know why?

Actually, that's a looong story...but to make it short.... "gini" sent me the rig, I was checking the tracking every day, but the rig was lost in transit to my home, and for some reason, they found it and sent it back to the sender!!! I tried to sue the brazilian post office with no luck... but what happened? I tried to contact gini to send me the rig again but he never responded...
and about that time, the time to file a dispute was over!
But I tried anyway, with no luck of course...

I still think that ebay give us so little time to file a dispute...
 
Wow! I can't believe this! I sent a message to gini-2011 and he responded! I sent a copy of the invoice from december 2009 and he apologized and sent me a new rig, I think a much more expensive one...

I just didn't understand why he took so long to answer me...
