I got a rally ill be goin to be filming in may for a week, I want to buy a DJI ronin but If i dont have enough by then Im thinking bout either renting a Ronin or just buying a smaller gimbal like a nebula or somthing.
what would you guys do?

$237 for 10 days for a ronin, or a smaller one for under $1000 Paid.

If you mean the Sigma f/1.8 18-35, then the answer is "no" according to this:

http://cheesycam.com/came-tv-came-mini-3-32-bit-sbgc-gimbal-with-encoders/

the link is to a review of the CAME MINI-3, but the carrying capacity is the same as the 2. See the question asked in the comments and answered. Remember, that you are adding an adapter between the Sigma and the GH4 - especially significant if it's a SpeedBooster.

But the Panny f/2.8 12-35 is fine.

Lindquist - I bought the Came 7800 Gimbal last year. It handles my Gh4 with Rokinon Cine primes and speed booster, no problem. (Just gotta take the time to balance it correctly!)

I recently got the Beholder DS1 and it works pretty good. Doesn't have the handles of the DJI or Came Mini but handles could be attached easily enough. It has a threaded hole in the bottom of its handle. I have mostly used it with my GH4 and 12-35 and i'm pretty pleased with its results.

I recommend now getting gimbals that has encoder in it. It offer smoother movement. CameTV came out with the Argo which we love and the new Mini3. Gudsen Moza Lite new version (shipping now) send to fix a bunch of issues they had before. Or you can get Ronin-m new version is also nice.

I dont know If I should Buy a ronin M or jus rent one for about $300 for 5 days for this upcoming rally, any advice?

Id have to be able to mount my rode vmp , monitor ie galaxys6 or ipad. so thatl cost extra to buy mounts.

ill be using it with my 14-140mm and my 25mm 1.7

I do haver it too, and it's pretty decent for the cost. Lots of videos on Youtube...

With the 12-35 and the Panasonic 25mm it works pretty well

is there any place to rent a PilotFly Gimbal or a Beholder? I like those and i think it will work perfect.
