C100: Gimbal for Shooting with Sound with C100 Mk II ?

We're looking for a gimbal we can use with our C100 MkII that will allow us to keep the top handle in place. We shoot a lot of walking stand-ups with talent speaking to camera, or walking interviews with two people on camera. In all of these cases we're using Lectrosonic wireless mics. With the two XLR inputs on that top handle, we need to keep it on the camera. What is everyone else doing for shooting with wireless mic audio while on a gimbal?

Have you considered going into the 1/8" input? With such short cable runs you shouldn't need balanced XLR, mini jack audio is clean when used with short cables.

Better yet, hire a sound mixer. I've used our wireless lavs on our gimbal into the Fuji X-T3 but that same wireless into a Sound Design recorder with the option of choosing the boom mic is so much better. C100 mic pre-amps are okay but not nearly as good as a Zaxcom or SD recorder and then you have choices.
Your C100 would work pretty well with a Tentacle Sync E mounted on that shoe instead of a mic receiver and the Tentacle has a scratch mic for scratch sound into the C100. Just a suggestion.

I've done both the 1/8th route & then I've strapped an audio bag on with my F4& wireless all rigged to that - I prefer the separate audio, it's better quality & it keeps the camera free from anything that coudl obstruct the gimbal.

I would think with the top handle mounted, it would be very difficult to balance a gimbal. I use the Ronin S.

Thanks to all for the input on this. Yes, we do use a sound person with a Sound Devices mixer whenever we're shooting on-camera talent with sound. My concern was running out of the mixer to the camera with the unbalanced 1/8" cable vs. the XLR connections. The cable would need to be at least 6 feet (10 feet would give the camera operator better clearance). But if you've tried this and it works well, then I guess we don't need to be concerned about the top handle.
