GH5 GH5s Dual Native ISO Missing a Setting?

I was watching a PhotoJoseph GH5s video outlining the GH5s dual native ISO settings and I discovered something quite peculiar:

1) When he set his GH5s to the LOW dual native ISO setting, his screen ISO choices ended with 1250 on the high end.
2) When he set his GH5s to the HIGH dual native ISO setting, his screen ISO choices started with 1250 on the low end.

With my GH5s, my LOW end menu settings end in 800 and HIGH end menu settings start in 800, exactly as the manual describes. How is he getting the 1250 ISO setting with his GH5s? Any ideas?

Here is the video:

Thanks.

IIRC, he is changing the minimum/maximum ISO setting in each category (in the menu).

Only way that's possible (I didn't watch the video).

[The default settings are how you describe them on your camera.]

I tried that. Went to change the min and max setting but even that won't allow me to choose 1250! Just the nice round number like 800, 1600, 3200 etc. How in heck did he do that?

He explained 1250 as the "crossover point" which I understand. According to him, 1250 on the low setting raises the gain from the 400 native end of things and 1250 in the high setting lowers the gain from 2500 in the high end of things. However in AUTO mode, when deciding you must use 1250, the camera defaults to lowering the ISO from the 2500 native mode down to 1250 and NOT up from 400.

Hugh, do you have your ISO settings set to read in whole stops or 1/3 stops? I think it may be set to whole stops at the factory and you change that in the menu.

Yea, there is definitely another setting to change the ISO numbers to 1/3s as mentioned above (or different values...whatever they call it).

Yep. I changed the menu to set iso settings to 1/3 stops. That's the very first thing I changed when I set up my new camera. Thanks for asking! Any other ideas? The video clearly shows 1250 on the LOW and HIGH dual native ISO settings. You can see it at 4:20 on the video.

Did you try in V-Log? I actually never used the camera in any other setting (so maybe could be it).

Or is extended ISO on? (Don't remember what that does, and I don't have the camera anymore to check anything else.)

Extended ISO just adds choices on the very high and very low ends but does not offer 1250.

That was my first thought but when u watch the video, it shows he has the camera in FHD, 100Mb/s, Long GOP, 4:2:2 8 bit 29.97 FPS.

Those settings have nothing to do with V-Log...but I just saw he's in the STD style (standard). Try V-Log?

Also just noticed he's in VFR mode...probably has to be it as the NS article actually refers to 1250 in the VFR mode.
