GH5 GH5s Auto ISO Always On!

Hi, This seems like a very silly problem but I can't seem to get around it...I just got a GH5s (I have a GH5 already, works fine in this regard). I can set in either M or Movie mode, aperture, shutter, ISO to get the correct setting for the scene (like in my GH5). But when I hit record... It goes into Auto ISO and there isn't control over anything. The shutter and aperture indicator goes away and it just says AutoISO. Dials don't work, etc. Tried to do a reset of the camera, still the same issue. It's like it is in full auto mode when I hit record. Any ideas?

The only thing I can think of:

Unless the top dial is set to M-Movie ('Creative Movie Mode') - all the other modes will go full auto no matter what the settings are set to when you hit record.

Mine stays at the ISO I had set before hitting the record button. Dial on top set to Movie mode (the movie camera icon), exposure mode set to manual. The easy way to get to manual exposure mode without "menu diving" is this:

Mode dial on top set to Movie (movie cam icon), then on the LCD touch the red movie camera icon top left corner. Gives you 4 choices: P, A, S, and M. Select M.

I also use the shutter button to start and stop recording.

And while you're at it, in the menus, find CONSTANT PREVIEW and set that to ON. Find and set EXPO. METER to ON if you haven't already. In both still photo and video with Manual exposure mode selected, CONSTANT PREVIEW will give you a pretty good prevue of what your exposure is going to look like in both the EVF and on the LCD.

Thank you Rich and Bruce. Bruce, that did the trick! For whatever reason I never ran into this roadblock with the GH5, I must have set exposure mode somewhere in the distant past. Now my GH5s works as well. Again thank you! I'll be mentioning this boneheaded problem and extremely simple solution on my podcast, TechMove.
