GH4 (GH5) Is it me or the GH5 image is softer?

LOL flinty, I swear you are paid by sony or something to come up with this nonsense :)

Well its a fact not nonsense, unlike some subsribers i have no manufacturer preference, luckily i met someone with a GH5 who let me use it with my lens, identical results, the lens has been back for checking [up to standard]using other wider lenses resolution is better but as as been said Panasonic have lowered the sharpness on this model.

Far from fact. Everyone else's footage is exceptional except yours. that means either you're are doing something terribly wrong or you are a shill.

edit: it could be your equipment is faulty, but after watching your posts bagging on different cameras here since 2009 or so, I'll suggest that's not the case either.

At least, the GH5 is not faulty !

Yes, I did have a G85, but have since sold it since owning the GH5. I did find the sharpening higher on the G85 than my GH5. That's generally how they set more consumer oriented cameras.

Indeed, to match the same sharpening between the GH5 and the G80, I must set the GH5 sharpness @+2.
However, the GH5 captures more details than the G80, so the result with sharpness @+2 can quickly becomes mushy with small and complex patterns.

Agreed. The GH5 provides more resolution than the GH4 or the G80/G85. However, as most of us know, resolution and 'sharpness' are two different things.
