GH4 GH4 V-log?

Well, he was spot on about the active speedbooster for EF mount, so I guess he has some info about some things.

Why always secrets and speculations!! If they are going to update or work on something, why not say, we are trying to achieve this or that. Or, we are coming out with this and working on that for a camera that is already in production. For me, that would go along way. I would rather know if something is going to happen or not. We purchased the camera without certain features, but some would probably hold on to them longer knowing they are working on updates straight up!!

Just a thought!

Because once they announce something, the complaining doesn't stop, it just turns to "why isn't this out yet"...."I can't wait any longer"...."XXXX competitor has it already"...etc.

Well that's product marketing 101. If the competitor knew what your feature plans were and when you were going to deliver them, they could do a product release or update to null you out.

This stuff is as valuable as any product IP a company has. Keeping my poker face on during customer visits is one of the hardest things I have to do :Drogar-SunGlass(DBG

Yup, I know!! Just drives me nuts sometimes....lol

Because announcing you are working on new features and then not being able to deliver is extremely embarrassing and causes more anger with customers than no announcement and then delivering.

The price of the GH4 seems to be sinking fast - my impression is that either Panasonic is dumping them prior to the next model or they are frightened of the Samsung NX1, or both; of course this doesn't make the GH4 we own stop working, and there may well be at least one more firmware release to flush the stock out the door.

Panasonic is not flushing anything and don't hold your breath as far as a new model is concerned. Today's price drop by one reseller is not a reason to panic. The NX1 may be a competitor but Panasonic have nothing to fear. So the NX1 has a larger sensor and does 4K, but nowhere near as elegantly as the GH4. I do believe there will be at least one further firmware update, and I'm hoping for a dedicated multi-aspect video mode (4x3, etc.,) perhaps anamorphic guide lines (I know they have expressed interest in exploring anamorphic support), and a V-Log setting if possible.

Hoping this is true and it will release soon, as I am looking into the A7S if this v-log does not get released soon I might sell my gh4 and buy a A7S.
