GH4 GH4 shipping in the US now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really -- rather than rename this marriage counseling thread -- would you folks who have received GH4 cameras please start posting real-world test videos and reviews!

I'm done with Blackmagic -- so my choice is between the GH4 (at this point I'm invested in the MFT lens system, hell hath frozen over) or the A7r. I'm relying on you pre-order people for honest information ("honest" information defined as the opposite of Den Lenny and those Panasonic promo videos).

I'm looking forward to doing just that however we have seen a lot of great samples so far and I cant remember seeing so much footage from a preproduction model before. I think this says a lot about Panasonic's confidence in the GH4.

Yes, I would love to see some RAW still files from the GH4…..

Yes indeed! I've never seen so much good looking stuff from a pre-production camera either! Can't wait to get mine.

And I'm number 4. Did not know they also closed (I knew about B&H). Color me disappointed.
 
I'm preordered at Adorama too - However they tell me, they cannot tell me my place in the 'queue' - nor how many they have in their initial allocation. How did you guys find out?
 
Just spoke with a customer service rep at Adorama. Apparently they aren't expecting to receive their shipment until late next week at the earliest. He's projecting early May as an in hands date for pre-orders.
 
Wow, that is surprising, I was really 'expecting' Adorama, and BHPhoto to have stock today! Oh well... another week ain't going to hurt. Damn :(
 
Just canceled my order with the "Big Guy." Once again they failed me. Not even sure why I still order from them (Actually, I know. It's the selection). Hopefully I can get one before Friday for aerial tests this weekend.

i no longer get anything pre-order with BH anymore. I've been going with Texas Media System. Check with Terry, they just get a buch of GH4 in today. :)

YES!!!! Just saw this thread. Called Texas Media System and was able to order the GH4! WOOHOO!!! Now I need to cancel my order with B&H.
 
It amazes me the amount of obsession over getting the camera a few days sooner. I understand if you have a production coming up but honestly it is risky to plan on using a camera brand spanking new on a serious production. Early adopters only gain one thing, bragging rights. Especially true when your bragging rights are only going to last about five days.

Same here. B&H had assured me that my Mid-March pre-order would place me in the initial shipment of GH4's, then today said that would not be the case. Just purchased my GH4 from TMS and will be canceling my B&H pre-order once the camera arrives.

Nope, not looking for bragging rights. I have a shoot on Monday. Texas Media System will get it in my hands on Friday.

It will be nice to have the GH4 on set, but I'll also have the tried and true GH3 and 5DM3. So, I think I'm covered.

The GH3 and GH4 menu are so similar you will be up and running in no time.

I had a very early preorder with Adorama but bought a GH4 from Samy's last week when I heard they had some in stock. I received the camera yesterday and cancelled my preorder with Adorama this morning. I wasn't in a huge rush to get the camera but every extra day I have with it is an extra day of learning and possibly making money with it. I have a shoot coming up this Friday and Saturday and will put it completely through the paces. Until then, I will test it extensively.
