I run a small youtube channel dedicated to tutorials regarding painting miniatures (total geek). However, I do appreciate great image quality and cinematography which is lacking in this types of videos across youtube. I am fixing to purchase a GH4 for my video needs (upgrading from my t2i). I started some research regarding lenses a few days ago and it seems there's just so many options.
I've shot all my video with a Canon 50mm f/1.8 prime so far, so I'm comfortable w/o the convenience of zoom. But, I've heard great things about the 12-35 panny, and great things about the oly 25mm f/1.8. There's also fantastic Veydra Mini primes that look great. Then you can also get a speed booster and your whole world opens up.
My use case is two fold: I have a monologue segment where I talk to the camera interview style. Then I have shots of the miniatures, and shots of me doing what the tutorial is talking about.
Macro Shots: Oly MSC ED M. 60mm seems to be a great option, any others you guys prefer to use with the GH4?
Interview: ???? - There's just too many options. Based on the use case, what are your thoughts?
EDIT: I also shoot these myself (no camera op) - if that makes a difference?
