I am using the GH4 on a 3 axis gyro with with a 12-35mm Lumix Lens. (The lens is always on 12mm) I've been testing this combination out for some upcoming documentary work. I've tried a number of auto focus modes, but cannot get the lens to stop searching in these modes. When I switch to manual, if I need to adjust focus with the application, (while recording), the focus assist magnification feature is disabled. Has anyone found a better method (or mode) of adjusting/ensuring focus (while recording) for rapidly changing shots in documentary situations using the application/above equipment?
Any thoughts and/or ideas are appreciated.
