GH3 GH3 Settings for GH2 Users (with test pics)

Bumping this up.

I'm slightly confused, does using the different "STANDARD" "VIVID" and "NATURAL" yield different results? like does -1, -5, -3, -5 look different if its under vivid or standard or natural?

Thanks guys

EDIT: after a quick test I do indeed see a difference between "standard" and "vivid" with the same settings.

Standard the best way to go? What do you guys think? I noticed some picked natural as well.

Thanks again

Can anyone give me some feedback on this comment?

I normally use "Natural" with my GH3, but if the lighting is very flat ( or my subject is very low contrast ) I will switch to "Standard"...

With Panasonic and Olympus lenses I'm using a Sharpness setting of -5, but with older Nikon AI-S lenses I am setting Sharpness to 0.

I agree. I may not set my Nikons to 0 Sharpness, maybe -1 or -2, but definitely higher that Panasonic lenses which I set to-5 Sharpness.
Sorry, this was my thread a long time ago and I didn't notice it had been bumped recently.

I have 4 lenses, all different brands so I'll have to keep that in mind. My tokina 11-16, tamron 17-50 and nikon 70-210 will probably all be on similar levels of sharpness, then turn down sharpness more for the lumix 20mm

Ill have to test out standard and natural more, seems like natural is more flat overall yes? I dont necessarily want flat.

But sometimes you have to film under high contrast lighting situations ( like bright sunlight ) and this is where the Natural profile can be very useful.

The same goes for low contrast lighting situations ( overcast cloudy days ) and this is where the Standard profile can be handy.
