I use the D7100 with a Sound Devices Pix 220 and I really happy of the images I get. A friend of mine that works in a postproduction company and uses Smoke and Flame for color correction and visual effects, checked the ProRes HQ files that I shot and she told me that the quality is very good and the signal is robust. She normally works with clips shot on Alexa or Red. The only problem is the noise in the underexposed areas, but that is something you can and have to deal with both when you film and in post production.
