Hello,

I recently shot this 1-shot music video on my GH3. It worked out great. especially being so light weight.

Holy crap that was awesome! I love the pov shots when she's looking around following the action of the restaurant, and I wish there was a couple more shots like that around 2:44 (that's the only part that got a little stagnant), but it's a small critique. Colors, focus, movement, performance, everything was stellar!

How many takes were required to get the final?

Great direction, like the concept.
Footage did seem real noisy though and I noticed moire a lot on the singers vest. Also there was a shot of a loose hair on the table that just looked real out of place when the camera panned down.

Overall excellent video and something that brings great creativity to this art form, I just wonder what it would have been if you would have had more light and shot this on say the Olympus 12mm.

Thanks for sharing

Very nice! Did you have on auto focus???? Was this all a continuous take?

Thanks for the feed back guys!

On the day it took about 30 takes to achieve the final. Yes, all one continuous shot.

This was shot in manual focus. Autofocus is great on the camera, but there is too much going on for it to hit the right marks.

I agree it came out noisier than I expected. I was stopped down a bit on the lens at f 4, rather than wide open at f 2.8. I felt at 2.8 the dept of field was too shallow for the pov look... also it would be easier to hit my focus marks.

The power IS on the 12-35 rocks.. I could not have done it with a non IS lens.

Great job. Did you use any kind of shoulder mount? Or just handheld?

Handheld. Originally this was going to be shot on a RED Scarlet with shoulder mount.. which slowly evolved after rehearsing into a hand held GH3. This worked best in order to get the quick "pov" looks/movements..any type of rigging got in the way.
