GH3 GH3 Compared to GH1 Review

In my eyes, the Gh3 absolutely is much more superior... the Gh1 is muddy in the sahdow areas.... whereas the Gh3 has crispy resolution. The differences aren't subtle at all...

If the Gh3 trounces the Gh2 in similar fashion I'll consider dumping my pair of Gh2's and getting the Gh3. Or keep them as B and C cams.

Really! I actually gave mine away for free! Dumped it on a totally clueless soul! Forget about the GH1, it served its purpose at the time. Work overtime, or collect recyclable cans, or sell Avon, and save your pennies for a GH3. It is a wiser investment.
 
I still have have 2 GH1's, I use them all the time. They still perform amazingly. I just used them the other day as locked down B and C cams for a quick live music performance. (This edit was just my first draft testing out cs6 multicam editing, so it's not complete).

haha ...John you're suffering from materialism fever. You think collecting aluminum cans or selling your soul ....to pay for a "camera" ....is a good investment of your time ? Freedom is the best investment of my time. No camera makes an artist.

No camera makes an artist but having a better camera doesn't hurt and the GH3 is superior in all aspects. If your work isn't limited ever by the camera then all the power to you. To me the added DR/framerates/construction etc alone is worth the pennies and cans. I guess I just consider $1,300 to be damn cheap for a camera of its quality.
