Is 24L supposed to be 265000000?

@Fresno bob
The super high quality 720p 60fps burst for slow motion

Yes.
Also, it is continuous

So is 24L better than 24H? Since the bitrate is higher?

Since 60/50 is continuous now, is it better than your last patch? How were you able to get past the sub-10 second record times of that one?

Anyway, thanks for contributing, slow-mo shots look really good with your patches.

Thank you Shaun. The bitrate setting isn't really bitrate; a number of settings control bitrate.
Unfortunately the 24L settings were affecting 24H, so it seems now that spanning 24L on 30MB/s just can't be done. 24H & 24L are too interconnected.

'Nine' is primo. To see the difference between it and any other patch (for example 'Thirty', or v9b), film a complex scene, like a forest shot, in focus at iso 800 (compare macroblocking/grain/detail/color, especially shadows).

So, are you saying that both 24H and 24L will both work on a Sandisc 30mbs card, but that neither will span? Is that correct?

That's correct for the Quantum v9b version. If you need 24fps spanning on 30Mb/s, use the Quantum 100 version (24H&L will span).

Also, 24L of the Quantum v9b version will span on any size 95Mb/s (even the 8gb, 30$ and will give 7.5 minutes).

I'm confused - The top post seems to be saying that v9b and "NINE" are the same thing.

Nine 720p 50/60 is included with Quantum v9b 1080p 24/30. It takes the place of v9b 720p 50/60.

When you say for for m4/3 lenses, do you mean on all the settings or just some? Thanks.

I don't have m4/3 glass, but from what I understand, the in camera lens correction uses up the resources needed for the maximum settings, which can lead to premature crash. Otherwise, all settings are tested on pulse motion death-chart through spanning. I suspect the lower bitrate setting will play well w/ m4/3 glass, though that does not really take advantage of the quality to be had w/ the higher setting.

About nine: I have the 14-140 lens and I use it with zoom and af to test all the patches.
Use both 30mb/sc and 95mb/sec sandisk.

The 95mb/sec sandisk has little effect on the write err of any of these patches other than they
may take a few more seconds to write err. However it does allow the settings that don't write err
to span.

Zoom speed and af have no effect on the overall stability on this test. Results are also the same
if I just have the camera motionless with mf. Just takes a few seconds more to write err.
Resullts are usually pretty much the same with the 20mm lumix.

For this nine patch with this test(other than 24p):
1080i 60 write errors in about 4 seconds no matter whether af or zoom/no zoom.
1080i 60 in the straight quantum 9b patch is more stable for this particular test.

720/60 on sh settings write errors within a few seconds.

However 720/60p on H setting seems to be fairly stable. It also spans on the 95mb/sec card.
This is the first 720/60p high bitrate setting I've tested that can do that.

Thank you for the tests Chauncy.

To all: please keep in mind that 720 H is there for those who need longer than 7.5 minutes continuous on their 30MB/s, and when you have to use m4/3 lenses.
To really get the best slow motion from the Gh2, you will want to use lenses other than electronic m4/3 glass (this will let you use Nine on 720 SH, & likewise for all high end slomo patches).
Also, 1080i is not stable (no matter the glass). The others are rock solid - unless m4/3 glass is connected, because of in camera distortion correction.

I get occasional write errors on SH using the voigtländer 25mm and sandisk 30MB/s 32GB. Although I'm using the first version of the patch you posted. Maybe you made changes that would affect SH mode?

Try the latest - I made an adjustment that will help stability.

I have did a short test with a Olympus M. Zuiko Digital ED 14-150mm 1:4-5.6
And did not have any problem with 720 50fps with and without tele2, until i take a picture, or use a other format like 1080i or 24p.
Just turning the gh2 on and off did solve that problem.
If the weather is good (dry) i will taken some carting and motocross clips with it.

I tried this with the 14-140mm and it failed after about 8 seconds with a 30 mb/sec Sandisk card. I don't have any MF glass anymore so I can't test that.

Thank you mozes and mpgxsvcd.
Unfortunately, 'Nine' cannot be used with electronic m4/3 glass. The processing power is not there for both.

Shaun, testing the old variation just now, and I could not get it to crash on my 30MB/s. I wonder what is the cause of the variation. Perhaps there are some cpu intensive settings that can affect it? (film modes? hmmm)
